Big thanks to the Farr 40 Class Association and Storm Trysail Club for having me back as the photographer & social media guru at the 2012 Farr 40 East Coast Championship Circuit Event #3 in Annapolis, MD. While conditions were all over the place all weekend, and I managed to wrangle myself a concussion on a boat switch mid bay, all in all I would say that this was one of the best events I have participated in on the Chesapeake Bay. It is always great to have such talented teams sailing in the town you live in, and getting to bump into them out and about without the stresses of traveling somewhere...

I am happy to announce that I was brought back by the Farr 40 Class Association for the 2012 Farr 40 East Coast Championship here in Annapolis. In addition to being the official photographer for the event, I will also be bringing you live updates from the race course via Facebook and Twitter, and uploading onboard GoPro videos from your favorite participating Farr 40 teams. Jeremy Reynolds will be my partner in crime bringing you more of the good stuff via photo boat video, while Dobbs Davis & Bill Wagner will be covering the press releases this time around. WOW. The Volvo Ocean Race PORTMIAMI stopover was pretty cool. Talk about a race village. While it was slightly disappointing to see so few people out enjoying the race village and supporting the VOR teams, that didn’t stop Amanda & I from representing for Sailfastphoto and hanging with the cool kids. Word to the wise, register EARLY for these kind of events, or else you will end up on the biggest photo boat known to man….complete with a full on dance floor, bar, and a dozen plus linen covered dining tables… don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the ride, but I couldn’t...
