It’s a Farr 40 World out there…

16 September 2012

I have been lucky enough to have been invited back for another exciting regatta with the Farr 40 Class Association, this time in the windy city of Chicago, for the 2012 Rolex Farr 40 World Championship. We have been super busy with weigh in’s, sail declaration’s, measurement, and transforming the Chicago Yacht Club that there has been hardly a moment to relax. Pre-Worlds finished yesterday, with Jim Richardson and his team on Barking Mad sailing their way to the top of the fleet, winning both the Pre-Worlds and the USA Circuit. We are very grateful to be working with Rolex, CYC, and of course, my group of RC/ Registration volunteer gals, Janet, Jane, and Colleen, we could’t have done it without you!

Up next is a 12 hour break in Annapolis, and then I am heading up to Newport for the Melges 32 Worlds, to shoot for some super awesome teams, big thanks to Mauro at for my introduction to Team Torpyone.

If I run away from Annapolis, Chicago is probably where I will be hiding. I love it here.
